Bubble Shooter asks you to fire coloured bubbles into a cluster hanging at the top of the screen. Group three or more of the same colour and they pop, along with anything left unattached above them.

The detachment rule is what separates casual play from good play. A well-placed shot that severs a supporting bubble can drop a whole section at once, scoring far more than popping three at a time.

How to play

  1. Aim using the mouse or by touching where you want the bubble to go.
  2. Fire a bubble into the cluster above. Matching three or more of one colour pops the group.
  3. Any bubbles left hanging with no connection to the ceiling fall away as well.
  4. Clear the board before the cluster descends far enough to reach the bottom.

Shooting well

  • Bank shots off the side walls. Bubbles rebound predictably, and the angle lets you reach spaces that are blocked from a direct line.
  • Play for detachment rather than matches. Cutting the bubble that anchors a large cluster drops everything beneath it in one move.
  • Watch the next bubble in the queue and plan two shots together, especially when your current colour has no good target.
  • Clear the lowest rows when the cluster starts descending, since those are what will end the game.
  • Do not fire out of impatience. A wasted bubble adds to the cluster and brings the bottom edge closer.

Frequently asked questions

How do you score highly in Bubble Shooter?
By dropping clusters rather than popping trios. Removing the bubble that connects a large group to the ceiling makes the whole group fall, which scores far more than a simple three-match.
Can you bounce bubbles off the walls?
Yes, and it is essential. Side walls reflect bubbles at a predictable angle, letting you reach gaps that cannot be hit in a straight line.
When does the game end?
When the cluster of bubbles descends far enough to reach the bottom line, so clearing the lowest rows matters more than the neatest match.
