About HalfGrade
HalfGrade is a free collection of browser-based games, classroom tools, team activities, productivity utilities and wellness exercises — currently 180+ pages, all of which run in a browser tab without an account.
Why it exists
Most of what HalfGrade does, someone else already does — but usually behind a sign-up wall, an install, a trial that expires, or a page so heavy it will not load on school wifi. A teacher who needs a random name picker for the next ninety seconds should not have to create an account to get one.
So the rule here is narrow: pick the small, self-contained things people genuinely reach for — a timer, a spin wheel, a set of flashcards, a game to fill five minutes — and make each one open instantly and work immediately. That constraint is why the site is broad rather than deep, and why nothing on it asks who you are.
What is on the site
Word and logic puzzles, card and board classics, arcade games and brain training — Wordle, chess, Sudoku, Snake, Tetris, 2048 and more.
Flashcards, quiz makers, grade calculators and study timers for teachers and students, plus a structured elementary programme covering 32 topics across six subjects.
Spin wheels, random pickers, polls, retro boards and meeting timers for facilitators running remote and hybrid sessions.
Everyday utilities — timers, calculators, converters, QR code and password generators — with no sign-up and no install.
Guided breathing, desk stretches, eye-care breaks, meditation and mood tracking, sized to fit into a working day.
Icebreakers, conversation starters and team bonding games for meetings, classrooms and gatherings.
How we build it
Free, with no account
Every page on HalfGrade works without registering, signing in, or handing over an email address. There is no free tier and no paid tier — there is just the site.
Your data stays on your device
Scores, streaks, saved settings and learning progress are written to your browser's local storage, not to our servers. Clearing your browser data clears them, and we never see them.
It runs in the browser
Nothing to download or install. Everything is built to work on a phone, a school Chromebook or a locked-down work laptop, which is usually where these tools are actually needed.
Paid for by advertising
HalfGrade is funded by ads, which is what keeps it free and account-free. We keep them out of the way of the thing you came to use.
For the full detail, see our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Who makes it
HalfGrade is built and maintained by CertifySphere Solutions, which also publishes certification exam preparation material and learning resources. HalfGrade is its free, general-audience project.
It is a small team, and the site grows steadily rather than all at once — sections get added when we have something worth adding, not on a schedule.
